What is the difference between a shoulder mount, wall pedestal mount, and pedestal mount?
Shoulder Mount
This is the most traditional style, where the animal’s head, neck, and upper shoulder area are mounted flat at the back and designed to hang directly against a wall.
Wall Pedestal Mount
A wall pedestal is a variation of a shoulder mount, but with the form turned at an angle. It still hangs on the wall, but gives a three-dimensional look, showing more of the shoulder and side profile. It creates more depth and visual interest than a standard shoulder mount.
Pedestal Mount
A pedestal mount is free-standing and displayed on a base or pedestal, rather than being attached to a wall. This style offers the most creative flexibility— Bases can be made from wood, rock, habitat scenes, or custom materials.
